You can apply for more than one scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) from academic year 2026-27. The time is not stated on the official page.

Steps

  1. Open the National Scholarship Portal
    Go to scholarships.gov.in, the official site.
    Open this page
  2. Check the web address
    Make sure it matches the address in step 1 before you enter any details.
  3. Click the Students menu
    Students is in the top menu of the home page.
  4. Click Apply For Scholarship
    It is in the Students list. You need your One Time Registration (OTR) number to apply.
  5. After the last step
    The official page does not give a time for this.
    It also does not say what happens after you apply or how long a decision takes.

Expecting money from every application
Applying does not mean you will get the award. Your application is checked against the rules each scheme sets for who qualifies.
You do not have a One Time Registration yet
It covers your whole academic career. If you have none, first click Apply For One Time Registration on the Students menu.
Someone asks for your OTP (one-time password) or password
Keep your OTP and password to yourself, even if a caller or message asks. This page never asks for either.
