What if someone asks for your OTP or password?
Hang up straight away. Never share your OTP (one-time password), EVC (one-time code) or password with anyone. Log in only on the official site, from a page you open yourself.
What if the Secure Access Message looks unfamiliar?
If it looks wrong, stop. Do not type your password. Then call the official help desk.
What if your PAN is not linked with Aadhaar?
If it is not linked, your PAN will stop working. On the pop-up, click Link Now to link it, or Continue to go on. See the [Link Aadhaar-User Manual (www.incometax.gov.in)](https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/help/all-topics/e-filing-services/link-aadhaar-um).
What if you forgot your password or it is not accepted?
Follow the [Reset Your Password User Manual (www.incometax.gov.in)](https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/help/how-to-reset-e-filing-password). It shows how to set a new password.
