Central Government Checked 2026-10-27 Jeevan Pramaan

Steps

  1. Ask your Pension Disbursing Agency what went wrong
Do this once the rejection SMS arrives. Ask which detail was wrong.
    Open this page
  2. Compare your PPO Number and other details
Check these against your pension papers: PPO Number Pension Account number Aadhaar Number Name Mobile number Bank details
  3. Find a centre with Locate a Centre
It shows a Citizen Service Centre, a local help centre, near you. Take your pension papers with you.
  4. Ask the operator to open Jeevan Pramaan
The operator types in your correct details. Read each one on the screen before you go on.
  5. Give your fingerprint or eye scan
Put your finger on the scanner, or hold your eye in front of the eye scanner. A new Pramaan ID is then made, the number for your new certificate.
  6. Check your status with Download
The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) says to download the DLC (Digital Life Certificate) from the portal to know the status. This screen is behind the login, so it is not confirmed.
  7. After the last step
Your new Pramaan ID comes by SMS to the mobile number you gave.
Later, check the status of your DLC on the portal.
The Pension Sanctioning Authority (the office that approves your pension) must approve the certificate.
The Pension Disbursing Agency Authority (the office or bank that pays your pension) must also approve it.
If something goes wrong, ask your Pension Disbursing Agency or read the Jeevan Pramaan FAQ (official).

Where to find it

If something goes wrong

I got a rejection SMS. What do I do?
Contact your Pension Disbursing Agency. It is recommended that you make a new Pramaan ID with all correct details and your fingerprint or eye scan.
Can I make the certificate at home?
Yes. You need an STQC certified fingerprint or eye scanner with its 'RD Service' installed, the JeevanPramaan Application installed, and an internet connection. A Windows PC or laptop (version 7 and above) or an Android mobile (KitKat and above) works.
I do not know which detail was wrong.
The official page does not say which one. Check every detail against your pension papers, and ask your Pension Disbursing Agency.
Someone calls and asks for my OTP (One-Time Password) or password.
Never share an OTP or password with anyone who calls or messages you. Official staff do not need them from you.
