Steps

  1. Open Locate a Centre
    On the official Jeevan Pramaan website, choose Locate a Centre from the main menu.
    Open this page
  2. Pick Select Location Type
    Choose Select Location Type to start your search for a centre near you.
  3. Pick Select State
    Select State from Select State.
  4. Pick Select District
    Select District from Select District to see the centres near you.
  5. Visit a listed centre
    You can go to a citizen service centre, bank, post office or government office on the list.

  6. Tell the operator your details
    Give your Aadhaar number or VID, name, mobile number, PPO number, pension account number and bank details. Also name your Pension Sanctioning Authority and Pension Disbursing Authority.
  7. Check what the operator types
    Look at the screen and make sure everything typed is right before you go on.
  8. Give your fingerprint or eye scan
    Place your finger on the scanner, or look into the eye scanner, yourself. Once the check succeeds, your certificate is created.
  9. Save your Pramaan ID
    Keep the text message with your Pramaan ID. It identifies your certificate.
  10. After the last step
    The bank or office paying your pension can see the certificate online, so you don't need to give them a paper copy.
    A created certificate is not yet an accepted one. Your pension office still needs to check it.
    To view or download your certificate, use Pensioner Login with your Pramaan ID and an OTP (Generate OTP).
    Your downloaded certificate shows whether it was accepted or rejected.
    When the validity period set by your pension office ends, you will need a new certificate.

If something goes wrong

Other way: text your pincode to find a centre
Send an SMS with JPL, a space, then your pincode (for example JPL 110003) to 7738299899. The reply lists centres near that pincode.
Your certificate was rejected
Contact the bank or office that pays your pension. If the details are wrong, you will need a new certificate with the correct information.
The centre's scanner software does not work
Ask the scanner maker or provider for help with its scanner software. The phone face-check option needs no external scanner.
Someone asks for your OTP or password
Never share an OTP (one-time password) or password with anyone who calls or messages you.
