    Go to Apply for ration card on nfsa.gov.in.

  2. Open the State/UT Food Portals page
    Click the link State/UT Food Portals on the apply page. It opens the list at ejawaab.aahaar.nic.in.

  3. Pick your state or region
    On the State/UT Food Portals page, click your state or region's name.

  4. Find the application steps
    On your state or region's portal, look for the application steps.
  5. After the last step
    The NFSA apply page does not say what happens after you apply.
    The time to get a ration card is not stated on the official page.

That page lists each state so you can check its ration card information. To apply, use the State/UT Food Portals list instead.
Your state or region is not on the list.
Look at the State/UT Food Portals list once more. If your state or region is still not there, send your question through Contact Us at nfsa.gov.in/portal/help.aspx.
Someone calls or messages you about your application.
Don't share an OTP (One-Time Password) or password with anyone who calls or messages you. Use only the official NFSA or State/UT Food Portals pages.
